LONDON (Dow Jones)--Medical device company Deltex Medical Group PLC (DEMG.LN) Tuesday said first-half revenue grew 12% on year to GBP2.9 million, aided by a major new contract in the U.S. and the publication of hospital guidelines about its technology by the U.K.'s state-run National Health Service. Deltex, which makes probes used to monitor patients' fluid levels during and after surgery, added cuts to hospital budgets could mean more sales opportunities, as its devices are designed to speed patients' recovery, freeing up beds and trimming hospital costs. -By Jason Douglas, Dow Jones Newswires; 44-20-7842-9272; [email protected] (END) Dow Jones Newswires July 20, 2010 03:00 ET (07:00 GMT)
