Personal products group Creightons said shoppers were turning to lower priced items as it posted a reduction in pre-tax profits in the year to March 31.Pre-tax profits fell to £303,000 from £378,000 the previous year, said the company, whose brands include Bronze Ambition fake tan and the Real Shaving Co. Revenue fell to £13.6m from £15.2m.The company said it was taking measures to adapt to the new environment, to ensure it can achieve strong margins on lower-priced products.'We anticipate that levels of Christmas gift business will continue to decrease as customers increasingly source direct from the Far East,' the company said. 'We therefore believe that sales may continue at depressed levels for the foreseeable future and we will continue to face increased pressure on margins.'
