(Sharecast News) - Countrywide has appointed Bruce Marsh as its new chief operating officer.
Marsh, whose start date will be confirmed in due course, will report to group managing director Paul Creffield.

Marsh most recently helped to oversee the recovery of Tesco in the role of finance director, UK, Booker and Republic of Ireland, where he sat on the UK board. Prior to that, he spent seven years at B&Q owner Kingfisher.

Executive chairman Peter Long said: "Bruce brings valuable management experience and a proven track record that will assist the company's turnaround strategy, and his appointment will complement and strengthen the executive team both now and for the future."

At 1310 BST, the shares were up 3.3% at 3.93p.
