Costain names Alison Wood to head remuneration committee

Construction and materials group Costain announced the appointment of Alison Wood, the former National Grid Global Director of Strategy and Corporate Development, as its newest Non-Executive Director. Wood, who will take up the role at the start of February, has also spent nearly 20 years working in a number of leadership roles at BAE Systems.Wood is currently Non-Executive Director at Cobham and Senior Independent Director at e2v technologies.Chairman David Allvey said: "On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Mike for his support and contribution over the last seven years.
