Costain has won a 34m pound contract from the Highways Agency to upgrade the A160 to provide better access to the Port of Immingham in Lincolnshire.It is an "early contractor involvement" contract and the British engineering and construction group will be responsible for the design, development and construction. The project is aimed at improving the A160 between the junction with the A180 and the Port of Immingham. It will involve upgrading a single-carriageway road to a dual carriageway with new bridges and junction improvements.It is one of the Highways Agency's accelerated delivery projects and Costain said design development work would start this month. Shares in Costain were down 1.6% at 282.5p at 08.44 on Friday.TB
