LONDON (Dow Jones)--Connemara Mining Company PLC (CON.LN), AIM listed Irish zinc explorer, said Monday the ongoing drilling program in Limerick intersected high grade Zinc-lead mineralization 400 meters to the Southwest of the Stonepark North discovery. MAIN FACTS: -Hole 53, returned 6.85 meters grading 10.47% zinc and 3.68% lead from 209.4 meters depth, including 2.75 meters at 19.76% zinc and 6.99% lead. -Hole 51, drilling 150 meters southwest of hole 53, intersected 7.55 meters at 4.88% zinc and 1.49% lead from 221.4 meters including, 1.0 meter at 21.90% zinc and 7.26% lead. -Both holes intersected mineralization at similar depths to the discovery holes at Stonepark North. -Drilling is ongoing with two rigs on site. -Shares at 0745 GMT up 3 pence, or 11%, at 29.5 pence valuing the company at GBP4.48 million. -By Ian Walker, Dow Jones Newswires; 44-20-7842-9296; [email protected] (END) Dow Jones Newswires June 21, 2010 03:47 ET (07:47 GMT)
