- Third-quarter revenue rises- Strong UK and Germany performance, weak in France- Encouraged by pipeline of workEuropean IT services provider Computacenter lifted overall revenue for the third quarter as strong performances in the UK and Germany outweighed weaker results in France. Revenue increased by 11% to £730m and in constant currency grew 8%. Revenue grew in the year-to-date by 4% to £2.16bn. On a constant currency basis, year-to-date revenue growth was 1%. Group Services revenue climbed by 9% in the third quarter and by 6% in constant currency, taking year-to-date growth to 7% and 4% respectively. Group Supply Chain revenue increased by 12% in the third quarter and 9% in constant currency. Year-to-date, it grew 3% and flat respectively. The UK enjoyed strong growth in the quarter of 13% to £299m, bringing the year-to-date revenue growth to 6%. However in France, overall revenue in the third quarter declined by 9% and 13% in constant currency. Germany performed well with revenue in the third quarter up 17% to £321m on an as reported basis, which represents 11% growth in constant currency.Computacenter said the overall outlook for trading in 2013 remains in line with the board's expectations."Looking to 2014 and beyond, we are encouraged by our pipeline both within our existing customer base as well as new business opportunities, although we would expect this to have a greater positive impact in 2015.""As a consequence, we expect growth, while still positive, to be a little quieter next year in Contractual Services, with 2014 profitability augmented by margin improvement, particularly in Germany."CJ
