Catering giant Compass has increased its presence in Turkey, gobbling up Obasan, a company that delivers meals to office workers Only last month, Compass completed its acquisition of its Istanbul-based food and support services joint venture Sofra.It said today that Obasan generated revenues of 89.7m Turkish Lira (£34.8m) in 2010."Obasan is a great addition to our existing business in Turkey and it will bring significant expertise in providing delivered meals to offices," chief executive Richard Cousins said. "This will enable us to service more organisations that don't have the required catering facilities on-site and expands our offering to customers in this exciting growth market."Compass employs more than 14,000 people in Turkey.---RG
