Communisis buys Edinburgh-based content marketing agency

Communisis has bought Edinburgh-based Editions Publishing for 7.1m pounds.The marketing services provider said the sum would be paid with £5.4m of cash and £1.7m of new shares. Editions Publishing is a content marketing agency operating in the financial services sector. Employing 31 people, it has delivered more than 2000 projects for 33 financial brands over 14 years. It made a profit of £0.5m in the year to August 31st 2012 on £2.6m of turnover. Andy Blundell, Communisis Chief Executive, said: "Editions Financial is a clear strategic fit with the group's aspiration to broaden and deepen its service offering."Shares in Communisis were up 5% at 57.75p at 11:25 on Thursday.TB
