Cluff Gold's finance director has bought shares. Pete Gardner took up the post in October 2009 but this is the first time he has bought shares. He acquired 10,000 shares at 104.65p each, for a total outlay just short of £10,500. Gardner used to work in corporate finance for accountants PKF. Africa-focused gold miner Cluff has two producing mines at Kalsaka in Burkina Faso and Angovia in Côte d'Ivoire. They are producing at the rate of 100,000 ounces of gold per annum. Cluff is developing a wholly-owned project in Sierra Leone which it hopes will produce 157,000 ounces of gold a year. Seven new drill targets were recently identified. In October, Cluff raised £9.38m at 116.5p a share. That placing price is just off of the high for the past year.
