Clarity doubles half-year profit

Clarity Commerce Solutions has edged higher after the bookings system software provider doubled interim profit and said it remains "cautiously optimistic" about the second half.Profit before tax and amortisation for the six months ended 30 September 2009 jumped to £603,000 from £300,000 in 2008 on revenue up 10% to £8.8m from £8m last time. "These results stand us in good stead for our full year performance, which is traditionally second-half weighted," said the firm, which raised £2.7m at 40p a share in October.
