Changes at the top are in store at stockbroker WH Ireland as the chief executive and the finance director have both announced their intentions to move on.Chief executive officer Richard Ford will remain with the company until 31 August while finance director Nigel Gurney is sticking around until 11 November. The company is already in discussions with a number of potential replacements for Ford and Gurney.Ford, who joined the company two years ago, said that he feels has fulfilled his mandate to restructure the business and turn it around and that the time is right to hand over control to somebody else.Gurney echoed Ford's sentiments, saying “now is the appropriate time for a new executive team to take things forward.”Last year the company was engaged in merger talks with fellow AIM-listed stockbroker Astaire Group but the talks broke down.
