Capita recommended for Army project

Outsourcing specialist Capita has been selected as the recommended supplier for the Army's Recruiting Partnering Project (RPP). The RPP Project board has endorsed the Army's selection of Capita as the recommended supplier to partner with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) to deliver the RPP to the Army, and the enabling ICT for the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force. The MoD expects to award a contract in mid-March 2012 once the procurement process is fully complete and has been approved by ministers. The RPP is an initiative to meet both the quantity and quality of recruits required for the Army's current and future needs, Capita said. The contract will modernise army recruiting and deliver significant savings to the tax payer over 10 years. Capita's share price was trading up 1.65% at 645.00p by 13:29.NR
