Bombardier Selects Meggitt's Tyre Pressure Indicating System

LONDON (Dow Jones)-- Meggitt PLC (MGGT.LN), an international company specializing in aerospace equipment, sensing and defense systems, said Tuesday that Bombardier has selected its flight deck-based tyre pressure indicating system, or TPIS, for the CSeries family of 110 to 130-seat jetliners. MAIN FACTS: -The TPIS provides CSeries aircraft flight and maintenance crews with remote real-time tyre pressure data. -The multi million dollar award extends the functionality of Meggitt's Total Braking System featuring Meggitt's EBrake technology, which was selected by Bombardier in 2009. -Shares of Meggitt on Monday closed at 301.8 pence, valuing the company at GBP2.09 billion. -By Tapan Panchal, Dow Jones Newswires.
