(Sharecast News) - BlueRock Diamonds said on Thursday that it sold a 7.1 carat stone for $64,826 in the September tender.

Executive chairman Mike Houston said: "We are delighted to have unearthed another high value, 7.1 carat, quality diamond, which sold at an excellent $9,100 per carat in our latest tender. The market remains buoyant, and we continue to build our reputation with our increasing run of mine production volume delivering over 95% gem/near gem quality."

Houston also said the company's expansion project commissioning is progressing well and a full update will be provided in its third-quarter update next week.
