Investment advisor, Bluefield Solar Income Fund, has announced its planned investment in the expansion of a UK based solar energy plant.The firm will invest a total of £5.75m in the construction of a 5.2 MegaWatts Peak ground-based solar photovoltaic installation. The new project is expected to qualify under the 1.4 Renewable Obligation Certificate regime.Bluefield currently invests in a portfolio of large scale K-based solar energy infrastructure assets.The announced project will be an extension to the firm's currently owned Hardingham Project, an operational solar photovoltaic asset based in Norfolk.The company's shares were untraded Friday morning. The shares were last traded at 103.75 pence.
