Veronica Wadley, a Non-Executive Director of house builder group Berkeley, has bought stake in the firm with the acquisition of 2,200 shares. Purchased on behalf of her spouse, the shares cost 1,831p a time, giving a total cost of £40,282. The transaction marks her only stake in the firm. In December last year the company reported that both revenue and profit has surged in the six months ended October 31st, with 1,927 new homes sold during the period. Profit before tax increased by 40.7% from £101.1 to £142.2m, while revenues jumped 69.4% from £404.9 to £686m.
