Broadband services group Avanti Communications has entered into an agreement with telecoms group Syntelix for a series of public and private connectivity programmes in Spain.The group will begin its partnership with the delivery of a project for a government department at 96 remote locations across Spain. Avanti will power Syntelix's telecoms towers at each location with its HYLAS 1 satellite.The service will be tailored across radio FM, BTS 3G/4G and Wimax/Wifi links, which is expected to provide remote control of all assets to end-users. The group said applications will include door access control, remote locking, video and sound surveillance, and energy supply monitoring. Syntelix's Chief Executive, Carlos Derqui, said: "Our client requires a highly-secure service to boost security and establish greater control over multiple sites in Spain. "Avanti has worked with us to develop a quality satellite-based solution, enabling us to permanently link sites in both urban and remote locations. "We look forward to building on this with a subsequent rollout of broadband packages to our enterprise customer base this summer."As of 08:52 Avanti's share price had dropped by 0.63% to 273.25p.WS
