Broadband satellite operator Avanti Communications is higher Tuesday after winning a pair of deals to provide its business internet continuity range of products from the newly launched HYLAS 1 satellite.Access Intelligence and Fitzrovia IT Services have both signed up for the service, which uses an enhanced version of its satellite broadband product to provide disaster recovery telecoms services to businesses telecom cable users. If a primary cable connection is lost, the Avanti service instantly restores connectivity and IP addressing so locally hosted or cloud applications keep working seamlessly. "If your business relies upon Cloud Computing, business internet continuity is a 'must-have' service. We anticipate strong demand for the service from our customers," Charles Lass, managing director at Access Intelligence ControlPoint, said.
