Asia boom boosts Robert Walters

Strong growth in Asia drove profits higher at recruitment group Robert Walters in the year to 31 December.Pre-tax profits jumped an eye-watering 900% to £13.1m from £1.3m the previous year on revenues that rose to £424.2m from £300.4m.The firm opened its third office in China, a main driver of growth, in Beijing during the period. It has also established a base in Korea with an office in capital Seoul."The outlook for the year remains broadly positive," the company said. "Our long term investment in our international network has enabled us to build market share across the globe with 71% of the group's net fee income now generated outside of the UK."
