White collar recruitment group Robert Walters pointed to strong growth in its Asia Pacific and European operations as it posted a 23% rise in year-on-year income for the first quarter and reported that its Japanese business, which was affected by the earthquake, is "now operational."Total net revenues rose to £40.1m from £32.6m. Asia Pacific net revenues were up by 29% at £19.3m. Europe saw a 32% rise to £8.9m, though the rise doesn't include the UK, where growth was more subdued at 10%, lifting revenues to £11.1m.Revenues in the Americas and South Africa declined slightly to £0.9m from £1m."As stated in our recent year-end results, the outlook for the year remains broadly positive," chief executive Robert Walters said."We continue to pursue our strategy of international expansion and diversification, having chosen Brazil, China and Germany as new markets providing strong opportunities for growth."RG
