Telecommunications group Alternative Networks has announced that its Chief Strategy Officer Jim Sewell has resigned and will leave the company on April 30th.Sewell intends to pursue a broader set of interests including increasing his support for charities, such as Restless Development, where he is a trustee.He joined the group shortly after its inception in October 1994 and has led the group's sales teams for most of his time with the mobile and systems provider. The outgoing director has been a board member since the AIM listing in 2005.The company said the board has been able to 'plan carefully for his departure and make key appointments in senior sales management positions in December and January'.Edward Spurrier, Chief Executive Officer, said: "Jim has been an ever-present and has spearheaded Alternative's sales team for many years. He has been a key driver of the group's organic growth, particularly in the earlier years. "Although we will undoubtedly miss his infectious enthusiasm and commitment, as a result of the business's succession planning we have recently made a number of senior sales appointments that enables Jim to leave in the knowledge that there has never been such strength and depth in the sales and client management teams."
