AG Barr is planning to close its factory in Wales and move production to its new Milton Keynes facility. The maker of Irn-Bru and Rubicon said it would close the site in Tredegar at the end of January 2015. The Tredegar site, which produces drinks cartons mainly for its Rubicon and KA juice brands, employs 67 people.The company said it will move production of cartons to its new Milton Keynes site as part of a £4m investment to boost the speed of output to cater for current demand and provide future capacity.A total of 27 jobs will be created at Milton Keynes and employees at Tredegar will be given the opportunity to transfer to other sites.
