Power generation group AFC Energy has appointed a new chief executive to help it spearhead its expansion in the hydrogen power industry.AFC said Adam Bond would lead the company's move from being a fuel cell research and development company, to a commercial business seeking to capitalise on "the immediate opportunities within the emerging hydrogen economy".Bond has been a non-executive director of the company since May 2012 and has more recently focused on commercialisation of underground coal gasification technology.Bond said: "The business is at an important junction in its evolution and with commercialisation now firmly within sight, I remain confident of AFC Energy's future success in the industry."
