Advertising agency WPP has acquired all the assets of US digital agency Blue State Digital (BSD).Founded in 2004 in Washington DC, BSD employs 130 people across its offices in Washington DC, Boston, New York, Los Angeles and London.The agency's expertise is in online fund raising, advocacy, social networking and constituency development programmes. It has helped over 200 clients harness the potential of the internet, raising over $800m in contributions to date and generating tens of millions of online sign-ups and actions.In 2009 BSD's revenues totalled $12.8m. At the end of 2009 it had gross assets of $3m."BSD, with its digital outreach and social media strategies, will bolster the group's leadership position in providing best-in-class solutions, complementing the group's existing client service offering in marketing communications and public affairs," a statement from WPP said.
