Media giant WPP has bought EffectiveBrands, the Amsterdam-headquartered marketing strategy consulting firm.The deal will combine EffectiveBrands with the strategy consulting unit of WPP's brand, media and communications arm Millward Brown to form Millward Brown Vermeer."Millward Brown Vermeer will work with the world's leading CMOs and brands to align the 'why, what and how' of marketing to drive brand-led business growth," WPP said.The new business will form part of WPP's data investment management division, Kantar.EffectiveBrands, which generated revenues of €14.1m in the year to March 31st, employs around 65 people and also has offices in London, New York, Singapore and Tokyo.
