Wizz Air July passenger numbers surge by 31%

(Sharecast News) - Wizz Air said July passenger numbers rose 31.6% year‑on‑year to 8.36m, with capacity up 30.4% to 8.91m seats. The airline reported a load factor of 93.7%, an improvement of 0.9 percentage points from last year.

The low-cost carrier highlighted further expansion in Spain, announcing new bases in Madrid and Valencia that will open in November with two aircraft each. The move will support 10 new domestic and three international routes.

Wizz Air also unveiled a new base in Prishtina, Kosovo, set to open in November with one A321neo. The airline plans three new routes from the city, adding around 0.5m seats next year.
