Westminster Group wins extension order for counter terrorism equipment

Westminster Group has secured a 250,000-dollar extension order for the supply of high technology scanning equipment for counter terrorism activities in the Middle East. The supplier of system solutions and products to security, defence, fire protection and safety products said it will be delivered mid-year, adding to its $3.0m contract. The equipment screens vehicles entering a high security oil and gas plant for contraband and threats. "I am very pleased to announce this significant extension to our recently announced contract award to an important new customer within the Middle East," Chief Executive Peter Fowler said. "The extension contract, which has been placed so soon after the original contract award, is an indication of the confidence the client has in our services." Shares fell 3.01% to 40.25p at 12:08 Tuesday.RD
