AIM-listed Westminster Group cheered with the news its Technology Division has secured a contract worth around $4.4m to undertake a major consultancy project for a government in the Americas.The company, which supplies managed services and technology based security solutions, said that under the first phase of the project, Westminster will carry out a comprehensive solutions-based analysis of the country's borders, ports of entry and key infrastructure, and provide recommendations and proposals on long-term solutions to improve national security to assist in the fight against terrorism, drugs and human trafficking.Phase two of the project will be to create a 15-25 year national security enhancement programme and will involve a planned roll out of both technology based enhancements and managed services solutions, which would be developed under a separate cost agreement.The project will begin immediately, with phase one expected to be completed during 2015.Chief executive Peter Fowler said: "I am delighted to announce this latest contract award to assist this important client improve its national security.
