Westminster appoints new sales director

AIM listed security, defence and fire protection provider Westminster Group has named Shires Crichton as sales director, with immediate effect.Crichton, who has over 20 years experience in the international security and defence industries, specialises in areas such as counter terrorism, counter insurgency, prevention of theft and sabotage, personal security and infrastructure security. The new appointment comes as Westminster expands, the group explained. "Westminster has seen a significant increase in enquiry levels and orders won since the flotation of the Group in 2007. This increase in activity has resulted in the opening of two new offices, in Abu Dhabi and Kuala Lumpur, and the appointment of further agents." Chief executive Peter Fowler added, "Our market place is growing significantly and requires the highest level of professionalism and innovation to stay one step ahead of the threats that our clients face. Shires has proved that he can anticipate the threat and apply state of the art solutions to protect Westminster's clients which is crucial in maintaining our market position and reputation."
