(Sharecast News) - Wall Street futures were pointing to a mixed open on Tuesday as traders geared up for a heavy week of mega‑cap earnings and a closely watched Federal Reserve decision.

As of 1200 BST, Dow Jones futures were up 0.25%, while S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 futures had the indices opening 0.13% and 0.92%, respectively.

The Dow closed 262.83 points higher on Monday amid retreating oil prices and a rotation into safe-haven and steady-performing groups.

Tuesday's pre-market moves come as traders were looking ahead to quarterly earnings from Amazon, Meta, Microsoft and Apple later in the week, with markets focused on whether hyperscaler spending can keep supporting the chip trade even as some of the tech giants show signs of slowing.

In Tuesday's corporate news, Coca-Cola, Boeing and UPS were scheduled to report earnings before the open.

Investors were also keeping an eye on moves in oil and bonds, with Brent crude slipping 3.16% to $85.57 a barrel and West Texas Intermediate easing 2.61% to $80.45 a barrel amid a pause in US-Iran hostilities, and the yield on the benchmark US 10‑year Treasury note easing to around 4.65%.

On the macro front, preliminary readings of America's June goods trade balance and wholesale inventories figures will be published at 1330 BST, while May's housing price index will follow at 1400 BST, and July consumer confidence numbers and the Richmond Fed's manufacturing index was slated for release at 1500 BST.
