(Sharecast News) - Retail management systems supplier Universe Group announced the appointment of Carmel Warren as its interim chief financial officer on Tuesday, for an initial period of six months.
The AIM-traded firm said Daryl Paton would remain with it until 1 November, to ensure a smooth handover, and confirmed Warren would not join its board.

It described Carmel Warren as an "experienced public company finance director", having most recently acted as CFO of data analytics business D4t4 Solutions.

Prior to that, Warren was CFO of customer intelligence software company Celebrus Technologies, and previously spent 11 years with ExxonMobil, having qualified as an accountant with EY.

"The process to appoint a permanent chief financial officer is continuing, and a further update will be provided in due course," the board said in its statement.
