TechMARK movers: Shock for Renovo

11th Feb 2011 13:41

Three days after its interim management statement for the quarter to December 2010 Renovo has shocked the market with news that scar treatment Juvista has failed to meet its goals in the phase III trial in Europe. The trial was for the use of Juvista in scar revision surgery. Renovo will have to assess what to do with the rest of its Juvista development programme. Shire, which has the rights to develop Juvista in the US, Canada and Mexico, has held onto most of its early gains. Communications equipment supplier Filtronic is clawing back some of its losses in the past month but it is still down by nearly one-quarter over the period.
