A strong first half meant that shares in the document imaging company Kofax have jumped in price today. Revenues rose 20% to $121.7m in the six months to December 2010. Pre-tax profit from continuing operations soared from $1.6m to $18.1m. Kofax has cash to invest in acquisitions following the sale of its hardware division. Shares in Filtronic have edged downwards in limited trading. Seven out of the eight trades are sales. There has been little buying interest in the shares for the past few trading days. The communications equipment supplier has warned that it might lose business after a rival bought one of its customers.
