Chip designer ARM is higher on hopes for a new Microsoft operating system. Microsoft is expected to announce a new operating system for hand-held touch screen computers that would use ARM's technology. Rival chip designer CSR has risen in sympathy even though broker Panmure Gordon says that it expects to reduce its current year earnings forecast by up to 10%. Panmure retains a 500p target price. Software provider Micro Focus is lower after chairman Kevin Loosemore and his wife raised more than £810,000 by selling 200,000 shares at 406.74p each.
