(Sharecast News) - Wealth manager St James's Place on Wednesday named Robert Gardner to replace David Lamb as director of investments next year.Also reporting half year results, the company said net inflows rose 21% to £5.2bn as pre-tax profits increased 4% to £79.6m. Funds under management stood at £96.6bn, up from £83bn in 2017.Gardner is the co-founder of pensions consultancy business Redington.The news comes a day after St James removed Standard Life Aberdeen as manager of its ethical fund and replaced it with Impax Investment Management.The interim dividend was increased 20% to 18.49p a share.
