Spire Healthcare has said it is in talks with an unnamed party about buying St Saviour's Hospital in Hythe, Kent.The UK independent hospital operator announced on 2 June that it was looking at the closure of St Saviour's given the investment in infrastructure needed to bring it in line with its other hospitals.Spire has now confirmed that it has been approached by a party considering an acquisition of the asset."Negotiations are at a preliminary stage and no formal agreement has been reached," the company said."There is no certainty that an agreement to sell the hospital will be concluded."Spire was trading more or less flat at 332.9p in early deals on Wednesday.
