(Sharecast News) - Computing, power and communications products manufacturer Solid State has secured an international contract valued at $3m.
The AIM-listed firm's new contract was won by its Pacer Optoelectronics business unit, acquired in November 2018.

Solid State's display project, a rail infrastructure programme in the United States, will utilise Pacer's value-added capabilities and was expected to be delivered over the next nine months.

Chief executive Gary Marsh said: "This contract is a good example of the success of our acquisition strategy in broadening our international and sector reach.

"We have focussed on niche sectors where we can apply our value-added engineering capability and where we can sell into increasingly international markets."

As of 0925 BST, Solid State shares were up 2.73% at 497.20p.
