Solo Oil has reacted to a sharp rise in the oil and gas firm's share price by saying that it is 'in negotiations to make an investment in accordance with its investing policy.'Crop productivity technology group Plant Impact has been awarded a €1m grant by the European Union to develop technology for killing roundworms and a soil delivery system.ROC Oil said it remains on target to meet its production target of 10,000 to 11,000 barrels of oil for the full year after making 'substantial progress' during the third quarter.Arbuthnot Banking Group has been encouraged by third quarter trading and remains cautiously optimistic about the outlook for the full year.The banking group said that its private banking and investment banking arms traded profitably in the three months to 30 September, while the retail banking arm 'carried its momentum into the third quarter.'Indonesian-focused coal miner Churchill Mining dug itself deeper into the red in the year to end June, with the pre-tax loss expanding to $14.1m from $2.3m the year before, on zero revenues.The group said the loss was in line with expectations and that its current cash position is strong, with $10.9m in the bank at the end of June, earmarked for the continued development of the East Kutai Coal Project in Indonesia.
