AIM-listed specialist oil and gas company San Leon Energy has reported that all necessary approvals have been obtained to perform hydraulic fracture work on the Lewino-1G2 well, Gdansk W concession in the Baltic Basin. The company said that mobilisation would commence shortly, and operations would be expected to start during the first week of July. Following the fracture operations, the well will have production tubing installed and be flowed for up to 30 days. Oisin Fanning, Executive Chairman of San Leon Energy, commented: "We are excited to be performing the work which will test the potential of our extensive Baltic Basin acreage." "Lewino-1G2, in what the company believes to be in the sweet spot in the Baltic Basin, will be the third well operation undertaken by the company in Poland over the past few months."San Leon Energy's share price was up 3.24% to 6.05p at 14:00 on Monday.MF
