It has been a busy June for new orders for Rolls-Royce but the month is not over yet and the power systems developer has managed to squeeze in another contract win, this time from Singapore Airlines.The UK engine designer is to supply Trent 700 engines to power 15 of Singapore Airlines' Airbus A330 aircraft, and, as usual, the company has also sold its Totalcare services support package to the airline as well.Singapore Airlines already operates 19 Trent 700-powered A330s, the first of which was delivered in 2009.The Trent 700, the only engine designed specifically for the A330, has won more than 75% of egnine orders for the A330 in the last three years. More than 1,300 Trent 700 engines are now in service or on order, Rolls-Royce said.At 2:30pm (29/6/11), Rolls-Royce was trading at 625.5p, up 12.5p. --jh
