Rolls-Royce welcomes airline's order for Trent 7000-powered engines

FTSE 100-listed Rolls-Royce cheered the selection by Hawaiian Airlines of the Airbus A330-800neo, which is powered by its Trent 7000 engine. The six new aircraft will replace six A350-800 aircraft that the airline has on order.Eric Schulz, the President of Civil Large Engines at Rolls-Royce, said: "We welcome Hawaiian's decision to select the A330neo, powered by our Trent 7000 engines. Hawaiian has experience of operating Trent 700 engines and we now look forward to delivering a step change in performance and economics with the Trent 7000."Shares in Rolls-Royce were up 1.05% at 1,055p by 10:47.NR
