Rolls-Royce still on course

Rolls-Royce remains on track for the full-year after trading in line with expectations since the start of 2010, although business is still challenging and the volcanic eruptions in Iceland haven't helped. The aircraft engine maker's chief executive John Rose will tell shareholders at today's AGM he continues to expect underlying revenue, underlying profits and average net cash balances to be broadly similar to those achieved in 2009 despite a modest cash outflow in 2010."The strong market positions we have built are reflected in our record order book, the significant number of new programmes that will come to market over the next few years and the group's growing installed base of products," adds Sir John."These underpin our long-term growth and give us confidence that our revenues can double over the next decade."Results for the six months to 30 June will be published on 28 July.
