Rolls-Royce in $420m deal with Hawaiians

Engine maker Rolls-Royce has bagged another big contract, this time a $420m deal with Hawaiian Airlines. The British company, which last week received a total of $3bn of work from Air China and Emirates, will provide Trent 700 engines for six Hawaiian Airlines Airbus A330 aircraft.It already has ten Trent 700-powered A330s in service or on order, having taken delivery of its first in May."The Trent 700 delivers outstanding levels of performance and minimises our environmental impact," Mark Dunkerley, Hawaiian Airlines President and CEO, said.So far this year, Rolls has won 13 of the 14 potential A330 engine selections, winning orders worth more than $5bn, to supply 73 aircraft.
