Rolls-Royce Gets $70M 6-Year Engine Support Services Pact

LONDON (Dow Jones)--Rolls-Royce PLC (RR.LN), the global power systems company, said Tuesday it has been selected by Lockheed Martin Corp (LMT) as the in-service support provider for the engines on the CC-130J military transport aircraft flown by the Canadian Air Force. MAIN FACTS: -Base contract, valued at more than $70 million, will provide Lockheed Martin with logistics support for the AE2100 D3 engines for the next six years. -Contract has a potential value exceeding $260 million over the life expectancy of the fleet. -Rolls-Royce will be providing all engine management and repair, logistics support and on-site technical support for the engine. -Rolls-Royce will partner with StandardAero of Winnipeg, Manitoba, to provide engine depot-level repair services to the Canadian Air Force. -Shares closed Monday at 579.5 pence valuing the company at GBP10.74 billion. -By Ian Walker, Dow Jones Newswires; 44-20-7842-9296; [email protected] (END) Dow Jones Newswires July 20, 2010 02:16 ET (06:16 GMT)
