Aero-engineer Rolls-Royce has won a $560m (£560m) order to provide engines for eight of German airline Lufthansa's planes.The Trent 700 engines will be used in eight planes that operate under the Lufthansa and SWISS Airbus brands. SWISS Airbus planes are owned by Lufthansa following the German airline's takeover of Swiss International airlines.The engines will be used in Airbus a330 aircraft.The deal involves Rolls-Royce servicing the engines until 2012.'Both airlines have had a good experience of the Trent 700's exceptional reliability,' said Lufthansa's vice president of fleet management Nico Buchholz.
