Restaurant owner Richoux swung into the black in the year ended 26 December after opening a number of new restaurants in the period."The company has undergone relatively significant expansion during the year, opening seven new restaurants and rebranding an existing site under its Zippers and Dean's Diner concepts," said chairman Philip Shotter.Pre-tax profit grew to £0.51m, from a loss of £1.52m in 2009, while revenue grew slightly from £5.02m to £5.84m. The group currently owns thirteen trading restaurants under the Richoux, Zippers and Dean's Diner brands."A measured development of both concepts [Zippers and Dean's Diner] is envisaged to further assess their suitability for wider roll-out," said Shotter.
