Police make arrests linked to Rolls-Royce probe

Fraud investigators and police arrested two men in London on Wednesday in connection with a probe into bribery allegations involving jet engine maker Rolls-Royce's business in China and Indonesia.The Serious Fraud Office (SFO) said it had made two arrests, which unidentified sources cited by news agency Reuters and the Financial Times said were linked to the Rolls investigation."In connection with an SFO investigation, we can confirm a number of search warrants have been executed at various properties in London today. Two men were also arrested," the agency said.It said officers from the National Crime Agency and City of London Police were also involved in the operation.Rolls, which is due to unveil annual results on Thursday, declined to comment.Rolls said in December that the SFO had begun a formal investigation into concerns about bribery and corruption in overseas markets that the company reported in December 2012.PW
