OPG collects £9.5m in contractual claims payments

(Sharecast News) - OPG Power Ventures said on Wednesday that it has collected contractual claims payments from its customers under power purchase agreements, totalling £9.5m.
The AIM-traded firm said the contractual claims were accumulated over several periods, and would be recognised as income in the 2021 financial year statements.
"The collection of these claims has strengthened the group's financial position and liquidity during these uncertain times caused by the Covid-19 pandemic," the OPG board said in its statement.
At 1124 GMT, shares in OPG Power Ventures were up 7.6% at 13.02p.
