Norcros, the company behind Triton showers, said trading remains tough as poor sales in Ireland continue to impact overall revenues.While sales of the showers stabilised in the UK in the 18 weeks to 2 August, rising 3.2%, export revenues, representing about 17% of total sales fell by 22.9%, due to continued falling sales in the troubled Irish market. Overall Triton revenues fell by 2.5%.Ceramic tile manufacturer Johnson Tiles posted a 1.5% rise in revenues in the UK, but export revenues, accounting for about 13% of total sales, fell 12.5%. Total sales were thus down by 0.6%.South Africa also remains a difficult market, with like-for-like sales at its retail operation Tile Africa falling by 13.6%.
